Glyn Tarell Community Council was formed in 1985 from the old parishes of Glyn and Modrydd, plus part of St David’s Without and a small part of Penpont. The Population was 614 in 2011. The electorate was 511 in 2012.

Community Council Meetings are normally held on the third Tuesday of each Month at 7.00 pm in Libanus Chapel (however currently due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic they are taking place online whilst hybrid accommodation is sought).
